Dear all,

I have what I think is the most unanswerable question in the history of the forum.

Not long ago, my buddy and I decided to exchange cigars. He's a NC-only smoker and I'm a Cuban-only smoker. We agreed that he would give me some NC's and I'd give him some Cubans (he's a yank, so it's a big deal for him)

The catch is, he lives in South Korea and I live in Russia.

I received his package with 15 cigars about 2 weeks ago, and have smoked them all already. Unfortunately, I can work out how to send his package! No-one will carry tobacco from Russia to Korea - not DHL, not FedEx, not PonyExpress, not even the freakin Russian Post (biggest idiots in the world)!

Apparently Korea does not allow tobacco to be sent in packages, and the Russians require that you show the contents of your packeage before sending.

I've tried lying on customs forms, hiding the cigars in various wrappings etc. NOTHING WORKS!

If anyone has any clue how to get these cigars out of Russia and into Korea, I would be really really REALLY appreciative.

Thanks!

I wouldn't give advice as follows - its just an observation that many business dealings or dealing with officials in Russia go a lot better if there is something in it personally for the official.... :)

I think there are a couple of Russian members here who could be more helpful or specific?

If you are willing to spend some money, here's what you could do: order singles online (hint: I know a nice vendor in Australia), have them send your cigars to your friend in Korea. Quite simple isn't it? Your're welcome!

Nice plan :) Though I also wanted to send him some Russian souvenirs! Guess I could do it seperately though...

So who's this vendor in Australia you are talking about...? :)
