Montie #2

I retired from running 10 Milers last year after DC's Cherry Blossom 10 Miler while setting a new record time for myself. So this year, I watched my wife and Bro-In-Law run the Charlottesville 10 Miler this morning. While watching them, I smoked a Montie #2 from September 2008. It had wonder burn and construction. It had strong notes of coffee, coco and strong spice. It was pretty good, but i will wait a bit to see what the others will turn into. I tried to compare it to a H. Upmann #2 (thanks Wilkey for the lopsided trade) i had a few weeks ago. I dont know how old the H. Upmann was but it had a very nice flavor. Given a choice between the two, I think I'd pick the H. Upmann because the flavors seemed a bit more balanced and more dimensional then the Montie did. Though, i must say i doubt it was an apples-to-apples compairison.
