Padrino Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Does anyone know what the star symbol next to the date on this box of Petit Edmundo's mean ?? This 10ct box was purchased at the Madrid Duty free.
Jimmy2 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Dont know what it means but i have seen it before also a - dash between the month and date. Oh its for a contest if you get the star symbol on the bottom of your box you win a all paid trip to Cuba for a week.
Minismithy Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I've come across a number of boxes in the czar humidor with a star included in the stamped box code. From what I have seen there is no difference in the cigars of a box with a star, and one without. I couldn't tell you what the star actually means, but from my experience it has no impact on whats inside the box. Minismithy
maalouly Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I think it means they're kosher haha was about to say the same thing.
Punch Joe Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Does anyone know what the star symbol next to the date on this box of Petit Edmundo's mean ?? GO FIGURE! Seriously I have seen this before but no idea.Got to find out what means...
FireDigger Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 * means the cigars in the box have been treated with HGH or other types of steroids... sorry, MLB baseball joke.
Padrino Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Thanks for the info Minismithy, did you maybe remember if the wrappers on the boxes you saw were darker than usual ? the ones in this box are damn dark. Maybe it has something to do with it. Punch_Joe - I see in Habanos SA there is not much communication between different departments, maybe only a few actually know what it means. It sounds like a typical Government institution. No tienen ni puta idea if you can find out it would be great, this is a very unusually dark bunch of Petit Edmundo's. Judging by the way they taste they're definitely on steroids....... or they're Kosher, who knows Jimmy, maybe we should have a competition. First prize: A pair of Ken's sexy shorts
Matthew Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I've seen it too. I assumed it was simply an improper setting on the stamp. Like the '98 FPGs which were stamped "FP9". Yippie! I've finally hit 100 posts!
FlyFishingDude Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 It's just the Cubans playing "mind games". "Hey, let's stamp stars on some of the boxes and watch the rest of the world go bonkers trying to figure out what it means"............
