FlyFishingDude
Came in the mail today No, not the Robustos, but the these flies which were designed by Bubba Smith (real name) and are called "cartoon hoppers", can't imagine why.... Soon to be distributed by Orvis but I could probably hook you up if interested. Hey Ken, you think these would work in NZ??? Mike
Ken Gargett
have my doubts they'd do much in nz but let us know how they go.
FlyFishingDude
Ken, I know they work on the San Juan in New Mexico, let me dig up the pic. Was just curious as to the hopper action in NZ Here we go, to bad it shows a headlock but he was getting ready to slip. Mike

Mike just spotted this. interesting that the fly du jour in nz at the moment is the san juan worm. a lot of guides were not keen to use it - something about being purists - then they realised that it is bagging a heap of fish that would not look at anything so principles out the window. so who knows, they might work a treat.
