hansa Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Hi guys, After reading this forum each day now for the last 6 months, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Hans from Belgium (33). I smoke fine cigars for 5 years now. Actually I got interested in cigars in Cuba, on my honeymoon. Is there a better place to start a puro-hobby ? I still like to describe myself as a starter. Especially when I look at the magnificient pictures of the treasures some of you have posted. My stock (only) consist of approx. 250 LF (90% cuban) divided over a few humidors. (One day, when I grow up, I will buy (or build) myself a decent cabinet. Smoking habit : one stick a day. @ crew : the video reviews are a great addition to the site. H
DocRKS Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Welcome to our group here at FOH, Hans. You will find that participating here adds a great deal to your enjoyment and knowledge of Cuban cigars.
BigSlick Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Welcome to FOH! You've been to the land of great cigars and LIVE in the land of great beers!!!
anacostiakat Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Welcome Aboard! Aaarrrggghhh. . . And how big may I ask is your stock of ales?
El Presidente Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Welcome Hans! The closest I have been to Belgium is the local Belgium Beer Hall in Brisbane I like what I have seen so far
hansa Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Thanks guys, for the warm welcome ! Yes, indeed, our HUGE country (the size of Sydney) is well known for its beers (and chocolates). The stock... well... , I always have two crates (each 24) of normal pils (what do you call it ? ale ? lager ?), and then of course an extra refrigerator for the beauties like Duvel, Affligem, Grimbergen, Rochefort, Westmalle, Orval, Westfleteren (most of them are Trappist beers) But, actually, I'm more a wine-guy... So there I have also a rather large stock. You must be thinking I'm drunk all the time... Btw, I hope you're all well down under... We've heard and seen the bad news !
Mr. Japan Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Hi Hans, wellcome to FOH, whereabout are you in Belgium? My brother in law got married with an Italian in Charleroi.
hansa Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 I'm from the East of Flanders between Bruges and Brussels (100km from Charleroi, which is imho not the most beautifull area of Belgium).
kjellfrick Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Hello and welcome, Hans, from a fellow european!
