Ken Gargett Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 the tragedy continues to unfold. a few photos from a mate down there. this is some of the fires heading over the vineyards. there are far worse images on the news but these bad enough. especially if this is your home and life. this last one is believed to be at domaine chandon. there was a rumour that it might have been lpg tanks and not the actual winery so here's hoping. another mate had burn marks all around his tanks but fortunately they stopped the flames (more accurately the wind changed) as it would have taken the entire winery. The news here is running what is happening as part of the lead stories - just defies belief when you see the pictures. In fact, at this morning's Sunday Service, the Priest included the people effected by this tragedy in the Congregational prayers. I can't imagine the feeling when the pictures are of places and people you actually know. Continued Prayers and good thoughts sent down your way.....
