Habanos2000 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Hi Kal, welcome to the forum! I've always wanted to visit your country but haven't made it there yet. I'd be interested in hearing what the cigar scene is like over there? Can you smoke at restaurants? Do you have many tobacconists to choose from? Just curious...
kal Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Thanks for your kind welcome guys, I've always wanted to visit your country but haven't made it there yet. I'd be interested in hearing what the cigar scene is like over there? Can you smoke at restaurants? Do you have many tobacconists to choose from?Just curious... A lot more cigar smokers in the last ten years , and prices hava gone up just as fast. One major importer with shops in major cities . To give you an idea about prices a box of Serie D 4 will cost you $366 after discount. So probably like most of you I order my cigars online from Switzerland . Also a lot fewer places to smoke in, all restaurants and public places with few exceptions are non smoking , luckily I can still smoke freely in my local Irish pub. Good luck to your friend Jay, especially if he's a smoker , twenty six years of marriage and my wife's face still turns blue when I light up. Will be delighted to meet up for a smoke. Cheers Kal
hellring Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Kal shalon haver. I was wondering if you have been to the La Casa Del Habano at the King David Hotel. I was at the Casa Del Habano in Hong Kong and it was very nice. A little expensive though. I was living in Jerusalem for a year back in 1998 and it was almost impossible to find Cuban cigars back then.
Jay Hemingway Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Good luck to your friend Jay, especially if he's a smoker , twenty six years of marriage and my wife's face still turns blue when I light up. Will be delighted to meet up for a smoke.Cheers Kal LOL if i do make it out to israel, i will be sure to shoot you a PM beforehand. enjoy it here at FOH. some of the best people into habanos are here and the hosts are always wonderful!
