shalom kal!

my best friend of over 15 years (and my best man at my wedding) was born in haifa.

he is getting married in about a year as well. there will be two weddings, one here in NJ and one in israel.

i'm not sure if the second reception will be in haifa but i may be heading out there to attend it as well.

maybe we can meet up and enjoy some habanos when i am out there!

welcome to FOH!

Hi Kal,

welcome to the forum!

I've always wanted to visit your country but haven't made it there yet. I'd be interested in hearing what the cigar scene is like over there? Can you smoke at restaurants? Do you have many tobacconists to choose from?

Just curious...

Thanks for your kind welcome guys,

A lot more cigar smokers in the last ten years , and prices hava gone up just as fast. One major importer with shops in major cities . To give you an idea about prices a box of Serie D 4 will cost you $366 after discount. So probably like most of you I order my cigars online from Switzerland .

Also a lot fewer places to smoke in, all restaurants and public places with few exceptions are non smoking , luckily I can still smoke freely in my local Irish pub.

Good luck to your friend Jay, especially if he's a smoker , twenty six years of marriage and my wife's face still turns blue when I light up. Will be delighted to meet up for a smoke.

Cheers

Kal shalon haver. I was wondering if you have been to the La Casa Del Habano at the King David Hotel. I was at the Casa Del Habano in Hong Kong and it was very nice. A little expensive though. I was living in Jerusalem for a year back in 1998 and it was almost impossible to find Cuban cigars back then.
