Jimmy2 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 That really sucks that you pay over 1,200 to 2,000 + for a cigar that you can not even smoke now and have no idea that they will be good down the line because some said they suck now. Remeber a blender does not blend a cigar to suck young as they have to be good now to age better later just something to think about.
SethG Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I have a chance to get a book, wondering if I can ask a question. I am assuming that these do not have an internal humidification device, and they have to be stored inside a humi right? If you have to ask.... These sticks are way too valuable to store in anything but the best temp/humidity controlled environments, you might smoke a few but the rest should be aged.
SethG Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Who said they suck young? The Sublime XL has to be one of the top 3 cigars I've ever smoked in my life, and I have Cabinetta's and Davidoff's in my humidor so I'm not exactly an idiot.

Thanks, yeah I know, not a great question. I would have to displace a number of things in order to store these, was hoping there was some magical solution. You know, for the price, built in Habitat system inside the book or something.

Put the book in a zip lock bag and put it safely away somewhere else.
storeroomjeff Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I don't care how big they are, how good they taste, how well they burn and smell or that they look sexy or pretty that price is ******* absurd. Go ahead and edit the bad language but I could find no other words that fit so well. I did hear the $2800 USD for twenty cigars making them $140 per stick. Kiss my poor ass and keep them. I would hate to tell someone that I paid that for tobacco products. AMEN!
habanohal Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 AMEN! Depends on how you look at money. I can run through $1400 an hour playing video poker with no problems. After I lose ( alot, I look back at what I could of bought.

After I lose ( alot, I look back at what I could of bought. I can spend $750 a day on a guided fishing tour .....never regretted it once We are a long time dead (possibly ) As I have said before "value" is in he eye of the beholder. There are things I would never spend money on that others would drop $3000 for (wine/cigars). If you have the means and t brings a smile to the dial.....I see no problems.
storeroomjeff Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 True, It's in the eye of the beholder. I guess my financial embarrassment is showing.
habone Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 No cigar is worth that. Even if I had the money and could buy them. I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. I be sitting there thinking about how much I just paid for something that vanishes into thin air.
