Opens up with thick smoke tasting of dry tobacco and cedarwood on the mild side. After the opening the same tastes continues accompanied by some floral notes. It quickly comes to me that this is a beginners cigar. Its mild and easy going. Reminds me of something from the gold-line by CAO. Its a nice, easygoing cigar and nothing more.

Nothing really changes about this Romeo. It goes on in the same way as it started. Its mild, mild, mild. Smoke is plenty and the burn is straight. The taste of cedarwood is all around in my mouth, which is quite relaxing actually. Sometimes simplicity like this can be the best way to go after many hard days of work.

The cedarwood has intensified, but overall its almost still the same. Perhaps some more floral notes. Towards the end I can feel some bitterness. I assume its the youth of Mr. Romeo.

Conclusion:

In my opinion, this is a mild cigar suitable for those moments when you just want a simple and decent smoke without any lasting memories. Kinda like a one-night-stand.

This particular smoke came in a three pack gifted by my mother. I´ll probably hold on to one of the remaining sticks to see how it feels in a few years from now. The other one is suitable to hand over to some of my occasional cigarsmoking friends. I know it will be appreciated.

I have not smoked this one - sometimes you just have to find an appropriate moment for a mild cigar (like breakfast)

I would like to mention (IMHO) that it is possible for relatively mild cigars to perk up some with time.

Recently I got into the last of a box of Dunhill Altamaris Tubos (~5 yr/old) and was really surprised they had stepped from mild/medium to medium+...... Granted that when new, these are very creamy and exhibit surprising complexity for a mild cigar - so no bets on the RyJ #2 getting there (but possibility??).

Smoked one of these this morning as well. Not bad for a young smoke. I agree with the mild taste and flavors. I usually smoke a PL Pan or a QdO Corona on the weekend mornings, these both seem to have a bit more of the caramel flavors I like with my coffee. Thanks for the review and great pics.
