G’day folks,

I’ve been here for about a year but still didn’t get a chance to review any cigars. I'm not a big fan of doing reviews as I usually turn my brain off when I smoke but I did an effort tonight ;) So here I am on this beauty. So as I came home early from work I though « why not ?!? »

I gave it 25 days of rest in my humi and i twas enough for my patience :D

Great looking colorado cigar, just the way I like them (thanks again to the team and Lisa for always taking care of this !!). The draw is perfect ! very well rolled, no burn issues. I didn’t have to relight it at any moment.

The cigar starts right away. Lots of flavor, lots of presence. Pure deep tobacco.

No time out with this one.

Roasted flavors, reminds me of a chimney fire back in my place in the alps.

Then it gets more aromatic. Some classic PL caramel notes and some very pleasant dry fruits, llike fresh nuts and peanuts.

The caramel is not much present but some nice hints are coming sometimes. That makes me think this cigar is still alil bit closed. But makes me think that the futur will make it a classic from the brand.

As rob said, it is not as fruity as the robusto, but I can still feel some citrus notes.

Overall, a great cigar already, but needs to rest a few years. That’s a pain in the butt cause I would very much like to smoke half of my boxes right now ! B)

Vinny, thanks for the review. Smoke all you want - they'll make more!

I am ready to try one, but they have not settled yet. Sounds like when I do, I may put them back for a while.

Great review...Don C - I'd hold off smoking them. I happened to say screw it a week or so ago and lit one up. Bland, bland, some more blandness and charred nothingness. Did I get a bad one? Maybe, but the rest are off for a nice 2 year nap.

I'm ALWAYS disappointed when I smoke these regionals too young. The 06 German PL Lonsdales are just starting to come around. I couldn't resist buying the Belis, but will resist smoking them- at least for a little while!

That sounds like the PL Robustos, I'm still waiting for those to come to life. All three of the ones I tried since getting my box were an utter waste, but hopefully when I try another one next summer, they will be a lot better.

Well since everyone is discouraging me from busting into the Belicosos, I had to get something good out to try. I decided to check in with the PL

Magnificos ER UK. It was at least another PL. I have not had one in several months. The flavors I liked in the back of this cigar before, the flavors on which I based my judgement Magnificos would one day be truly magnificent are now coming out more. The ammonia has subsided, but is not yet gone. These smokes are going to be all time. One thing I have noticed is they are heavy and fairly packed. The draw on many of mine could have been just slightly easier, but other than that, what were already high expectations have grown. I should wait another 6 months to a year to try these again, but I probably will not hold out.

good to have a feedback on these. I'll hold myself from them for another 6 months, but I can't wait to try one again.

+1 the lonsdales are coming out the closet these last 5 month... I guess this one is the strongest PL RE and definitely the more "caramel" one. i would love to try some "standard" lonsdales to compare but can't find any... Anyway, keep your beli's for your own good ;) at least 12 more month...
