This is not a great cigar, but for only 1 € is a good choice if you only want a good cuban nicotine dose.

Thanks for the review. One of the issues that I have found while smoking Machine made Habanos like the RA Belvedere is they need time to open up after the initial lighting and must continue to be smoked slowly. While certainly not a hand rolled vitola, they can be enjoyed and have a lot of flavor besides the taste of strong tobacco. Another machine made RA that I like is the Mille Fluers which was also discontinued.

I don't think I have tried a machine made Havana. I didn't realize they were that cheap either. It's like cigars in the grocery store lines in the US.

I probably would have tried one by now if they were on store shelfs around here.

It may be impossible with short fill, but I wonder if there are any machine made cigars which come close to the level of enjoyment of a hand made cigar? I could probably figure this out on Trevor's site, but do they make larger ring gauge machine made smokes? I don't remember ever seeing large than 40 or 42.

Partagas perfectos. 127 * 44. Discontinued too. Machine made, long filler. 2 €. Very difficoult to find. i have 2 boxes :) . But i believe i will not find more. :P

This is a good cigar, a truly Partagas from the beginning to the end ( When the draw is right, not always)

Thanks for the review. These machine made Habanos deserve more attention.

I have tried the Belvederes, and I was disappointed. I found very little of the distinctive Ramon Allones taste.

My favorite machine mades have been aged Punch and H. Upmanns. I have had some superb cigars of these from the late 80s and early 90s. I recently smoked the last cigar from a box of 1987 Punch Exquisitos and they were a GREAT cigar, lots of spice, and an interesting olive taste that was very pleasant.

They are well worth trying, especially with the low price.

Thankyou for a another great review. It has been a long time since I have tried a RA Belvedere. I think Neil is right in that Machine mades deserve more attention. I think that we will do a review week on Machine mades alone to see what gems come out of the closet.
