manny816 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 If you smoke in your car, what is the best way to get rid of the smell?
cf2112 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 » If you smoke in your car, what is the best way to get rid of the smell? Rollown the windows and drive 70+ mpr:-D I've got a little plug in ozone thingy that i leave in for a few hrs and the wife and kids don't complain.
Guest gorob23 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 » » » Rollown the windows and drive 70+ mpr:-D I have a sun roof. With that opened and the side windows open I don't get any smell at all in the car, and trust me the "4LP" would tell me if there was..:-) Rob
n2advnture Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 » If you smoke in your car, what is the best way to get rid of the smell? I smoke on average 1/day in my car. 1.) Open the circulation vent so fresh air is coming in. 2.) Crack the driver's window and point the vent that on the driver's side towards the window. 3.) If you car has a carbon cabin filter, replace that every couple of months 4.) Use Fabreeze or other neutralizer every couple of weeks. 5.) Twice a year, steam clean your carpet, seats & headliner. 6.) Get a ionizer that plugs into the cigarette lighter Or you could just buy a new car :-P
wasch_24 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I do as Mak does with the air system and just crack the window about an inch and a half. Not even the wife notices a smell of any sort.
Spud2 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 As stated above with some variations, the basics are just crack the window and light! ;-)
Freefallguy Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 » If you smoke in your car, what is the best way to get rid of the smell? I don't... my kids can always tell when I do and drag on about the smell!
wasch_24 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I have the air set to the floor and on the second to the highest setting. Having the air anywhere other than on the floor in my car doesn't create the same pressure and causes the smoke to spread into the car instead of streaming out the window.
El Presidente Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 All windows down minimum 2 inches. Make sure air circulation is set to fresh. Drive fast My work car is an old Landrover Diesel which works wonderfully well as my cigar mobile.
Maverick Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I drive a Non-Smoking Company car, so don't have the problem. Would like to though. Ross...
harwellplant Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 a car/truck with leather seats makes a huge difference.
Loki Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 GMC extended cab sonoma pickup -windows 2" -flip out side windows -vents on but pointed down keeps cab quite clear smell? as long as you dump the butts its fine.
shrink Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 El Prez sez: My work car is an old Landrover Diesel which works wonderfully well as my cigar mobile. So much diesel exhaust leaks up into the cab that not even Rob can distinguish it from the cigar smoke. Carbon monoxide gives a real head rush, eh mate?
DocRKS Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 » What is the best way to get rid of the smell? Pull over at the side of the road and tell her either she stops complaining about you enjoying your cigar in Your own personal conveyance vehicle - or she can start walking --now and forever ! or.....rolling down the window a bit while driving also works.... ;-)
Mel Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I use scent wafers for deer hunting. Get the fresh earth scent and no one will notice the cigar over the dirt odor! Spill some some of that Rutting buck urine and now you don't smell dirt. Hit a ******* skunk all olfactory killed.:-D
Bunker1028 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 » If you smoke in your car, what is the best way to get rid of the smell? I like the smell. I smoke in my car everyday and in her (mine) truck. Not when she and the kids are in it, but when I'm in it I'm smoking. The house is off limits but the cars and garage are my smoking lounges. Besides, puros leave behind a better smell than fish, coffee, Taco Bell, suntan lotion, and all the other crap cars can smell of.
El Presidente Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 !LMAO! Mel I am afraid to ask what aftershave you use
Mel Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 » !LMAO! Mel » » I am afraid to ask what aftershave you use Actually NONE from Aug. thru Dec. I will have no "perfume" on during the deer season.
