adamg
Just had a bottle of this that I bought back from my trip to Franchoek in South Africa, bought direct from the Boekenhoutskloof winery. I matched it with a Partagas P2 - heaven doesn't describe it! Great spicy rich flavours really complemented the cigar beautifully. Its fairly rare, but if you see a bottle snap it up. Great red wine and a fine cigar - life doesn't get much better!
SamuraiJack
Its great when it comes together like that, isnt it? I have had some trouble pairing red wine and cigars, cuz I know nothing about wine. But when it works its the best pairing, beats beer, rum or whiskey. Ken Gargett
i know this is heresy but i have never had a cigar and red wine match that really sings. tried plenty and perfectly happy o go on trying them but i think it is something about clashing tannins. for me, a great rum or some of the other top spirits, good fortifieds and somke champers are the top choices.
