RLinNH Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 That's right, it Blew up. I had the Plus size, and it has been ticking along fine for a little over a year now. Anywho, I came home from work last night, and I saw the plug, on the floor, in pieces. My Wife told me that it literally Blew Up and out of the socket on the wall. She said it was so violent that it reset the television (on another plug, but probably on the same circuit). Odd. I have already ordered another one, but what the heck could have made my Cogar Oasis Blow apart like that? I have been using them since they came out, am on my third one, and I have never had a problem with any of there products. Wierd...
Shelby07 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I'd call their support number and see if they will replace it for you. I have spoken with them in the past and they have been so customer friendly it's scary.
Chicago Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 La Bomba! I have never heard of this problem. Seriously, customer service will take care of you. I have also seen another unit called the Hydra, I believe which looks interesting.
El Presidente Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Send it back to them to investigate. Appliance failure can lead to fire which can lead to significant law suits so they will investigate.
Colt45 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 It may have been the Oasis, but is it possible it was something in your home wiring that caused it?
GoSteelers Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Storm - Power Surge Might try the next one plugged into surge protector
android Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 That sounds like a power surge or lightning strike? Bad weather in your area at the time of this?
