Ken Gargett Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 i'm still working all this out but i reckon milder is safer, though 85 bolly is one massive champers. that said, are you sure that shouldn't be in the luggage for schoolies and as it happens, i just happen to be at the coast.... it really is one of the all time great champagnes so whatever, or whoever, you have/share etc make it worthwhile. » I might try this with a bottle of Bolinger 1985 vintage that is being » opened shortly. Does anyone have any views on whether I should go for a » mild, medium, or strong cigar?
JMH Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 lol, I think it might be a bit unappreciated at schoolies, what with all the high class passionpop floating around. I found it while digging around in a few boxes of randomly assorted wines the other week, and also found two bottles of the 1990 vintage. It was a bit of a surprise because my dad doesn't really drink champagne. Pretty much all the stuff he puts down to age is red. At a glance it's stuff like penfolds 389,407; orlando st. hugo coonawarra cab sav, that sort of stuff. The '85 bolly is being opened to celebrate the end of my hsc and my sisters uni exams, so it's for a very worthwhile occasion. Sorry I won't be able to split it with ya ;-)
Ken Gargett Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 no problem. the 90 will do. it is at least as good. your dad has great taste if that is the quality of the cellar. » lol, I think it might be a bit unappreciated at schoolies, what with all » the high class passionpop floating around. JMH Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 He's the sort of guy that believes that anything he likes doing, he should do well, so be it wine, golf, or music he always buys good quality stuff. Luckily for me, I also love guitar, wine, and golf. I'll see you in a few weeks then ken!
