Fishhound
Has anyone tried these and what are your thoughts? http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Fe...2344,80,00.html
kjellfrick
No I haven't tried them but I'm astonished at the amount of beetles crawing around in the humidors at CA! Hundreds of beetles caught! If I had that kind of infestation I'd be taking some more serious measures, for sure...

Before I got my chilled humi. Never caught anything. You do realize that they are a lure. But they do give you a headsup that you have a problem. Yes those were my thoughts, not so much as for prevention.....more for detection.
El Presidente
They are a good detection device. Nothing more. We have an experiment ready to run. 5 NC cigars (Cupido) and an oily Cohiba Robusto in one clear Milk container and one beetle in another Milk container with both containers taped together. My theory is that beetles go for the oiliest cigar. Problem is that we have not had a beetle in nearly 12 months
