SamuraiJack
Howdy, is there a closed set of brands made available at duty free shops in airports? Or is it random? Thanks!
FireDigger
I've only been to the one in Cancun. You can expect mostly Cohiba and Montecristo. Here is a picture:

trumpetchris
Mostly the big name stuff. Lots of smaller sizes, three and five packs, etc. Romeo, Partagas, Cohiba, Montecristo. The three or four duty free shops I've seen, London, Amsterdam, Shanghai, didn't look all that great as far as storage considerations. Glass front cabinets that didn't seal, no visible humidity control on many, etc. London did have the best cared for cigars in the airport (it appeared), although JJ Fox and LCDH got my cigar money. So be careful if you select cigars from the airport. Most of the cigar displays are in a liquor/candy/canned meat shops and may not be taken care of as well as B&Ms in the city you're visiting. JM2C. SamuraiJack
The only one I've seen is a walk-in in Stockholm. Seemed very well kept and had ALL KINDS of brands, but I don't remember them all. Monte, Cohiba, RyJ and Trini for sure.

Stockholm, De Gaul, amd Madrid all have great DF selections. As I recall, Madrid had the best prices. Billy
El Presidente
» Howdy, is there a closed set of brands made available at duty free shops in » airports? Or is it random? » » Thanks! DF space is expensive so the average Airport tobacconist simply stocks what moves and what moves are Monte/Cohiba/R&J and plenty in the cardboard packs. Those which are owned by distributors and/or which are specialists will have a much wider range. Singapore is expensive and the range so so. Dr.G
Thanks Guys. Maybe I'll just hold off until I get back to Oz. But I might get a 3 pack for while I'm in Nepal! Cheers, George
bolivr
Singapore is a mixed bag also in the quality of storage. In the old terminal they do not really have a proper humidor. It's a cupboard and the Rh proudly showing on the gauge was 35%... I bought some Bolivar tubos since they would be the least adversely affected. I just had time to glance at the store in the new terminal (terminal 3 ? ) looks like a proper walk in humi but the prices, yes, very high to my eyes.
