Hi folks!

Been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now! Still fairly new to the cigar world and I'm absolutely fascinated by it.

I'm still trying and tasting - started off with a Monte 4... then to a Monte 3 (thought it was merely a longer version of the Monte 4 - how naive I was :-P ).. had a couple of Singlo IIs, HDM Epi2, PSD4, Partagas shorts and most recently a Monte 2. Still a lot of educating to be done.. I just can't get enough of these cigars... it's becoming an obsession.. *sigh*

Am yet to "invest" (as I tell my wife) in a box, but I'm sure that's just around the corner!

The forum has been very informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work!

Cheers!

Welcome to the board. I should warn you that this "education" will soon turn into an obsession and that first box will be the first of many. Don't look into the light, turn back now before it becomes too late for you too.

Thanks for the tip Matt. Just learned about Avallo humis last night while reading this forum.... another "investment" in the long run of course :-)

Welcome Aboard ---remember in this passion that we all share - it is not the destination of finding that perfect cigar that should be the goal...it is the journey which is filled with hundreds of hours of enjoyment of friends as well as the leaf that makes this thing of ours so special....It's All About the Brotherhood.......

Welcome aboard Haz

Like a surfer you are always chasing the perfect wave...except in our case the perfect cigar. Just when you think you have nailed it....you will hear of something else or experience a cigar moment which blows your mind. The cigar which blows your mind is often one which you had few expectations of.

It never ends. While the cigars are great the people who enjoy them have a special commeraderie which is boundless and borderless.

Welcome :-)

It never ends, and it's the chase that makes it fun. It's the shared experience that makes it great!

Welcome Haz.

I know all too well what you mean.

I started on a single Cohiba DC, then Cohiba Robusto.

That led to Singles.....

I have went and got 2 100 count humidors. I was going to give the other as a present. Now after reading the forum, not sure if I want to.

Now I am thinking of getting boxes.... it will never end..

What an insightful and profound statement! Nails the essence of what this is all about.
