Dates of Next Habanos Festiva?

Does anyone on here know the dates for the 11th Habanos festival in Cuba. I know its in February 2009 but I want to know the exact dates. Anyone?

I've also been wondering about this. I've heard mixed reports about the festival.

Some say dont miss it under any circumstance... others say avoid it like the plague.

I'd be keen to hear the thoughts of those who have been.

As for the dates, Habanos s.a. gives out the dates around

October or November and not before. As for the festival itself,

It's great to be part of if you like smoking 14 or15 cigars in a

day, meet all kinds of people from all over the world,great

seminars on Habanos, shops full of excepional vitolas that

you will never find again, Havana by night with all it has to offer?

great friends you will make with cubans and the chance to

discover the cuban culture, Tasting local cigars in Pinar del Rio

at the Vegas etc..etc... If you don't like all that , well then I

don't think you'll have a good time.

I forgot to mention that I have gone 3 times,

1999- 1st festival

2004- 6th festival

2007- 9th festival

And all I can say is, I wish I could go each year:hungry:

It is always the last week of February so in 2009 it should be Mon 23rd to 28th.

I think we all enjoy it but there are so many people that often you can't spend as much time with the people you want to. Great to do at least once.

Laficion. Thanks for the reply. Well it all sounds pretty horrible doesnt it but as i've been given a free pass by the soon to be Mrs Boleyn I shall be making damn sure that I'll be taking up the option. Also as its going to be a boys only trip it should be even better, none of that sightseeing nonsense or spending time trooping round clothes shops, just hours and hours of haggling in cigar shops and smoking great vitolas. Add the nightime drinking regimes with none of the 'sensible' hours adhered to by said girlfriends/wives and it sounds like a damn fine trip indeed. So taking a long shot here I reckon it just may be right up my street»
