Kingantz Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I’ve always enjoyed these small gauge cigars, however quite a few out of this box had very tight draws, some plugged. This just happened to be the last one from this box and ended up having a perfect draw. It had a light brown wrapper with no noticeable oils and somewhat coarse with a small patchwork of veins. There was a good weight in the hand and a slight give when squeezed and nice bunching in the foot. Again, once punched, the pre-draw was perfect with a sweet, mature tobacco flavor. I lit the foot and the smoke was smooth and buttery. If I could associate a color, it would definitely be golden. The smoke itself was a light medium with only the faintest hint of spiciness. A very creamy smoke rolled forth and a taste that of sweet hay. It had burn issues from the start, and I had to do a touch up here and there with a few re-lights. A storm started to blow in and the wind really picked up, which didn’t help matters. The finish was smooth as well, and I put it down as it neared the band. A nice finish to a delightful box of delicious smokes!
aavkk Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Thanks for the review, and I love the pics as always!
El Presidente Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Great review and sensational photo's One of those cigars which is on consideration for deletion in the next few years. Find a great box or a couple to lay down.
