Having smoked Hamlet, La China and Robaina Farm rolled custom rolled cigars, they typically have robust and unique flavors that are truly special cigars to be enjoyed! :ok:

Indeed it is a pity that we are only authorized by law to take out 50 stick per person, 'cause custom-made of some torcedores are Fantastic!

I understand the rational to kill the fake cigars industry but the government should do something to make a difference between fake cigars and customs-made cigars coming from the Caracol Torcedores...

I personally have a little trick to carry 100 customs myself so if you're interested to know, email me ;-) ...

I agree totally. Were I to go back I'd not spend a dime on any boxed cigars. Freshly rolled from the table on the island is a treat that I'd indulge in daily. Such wonderful fresh flavors, such great choices, such a wonderful interaction to spend time with the person who is creating the magic before your eyes.

Rob taught it me but I can't do that so far. It's for a quite simple reason. I don't have budget to go to Cuba... donate me:-P

Hello everyone,

This afternoon I was looking in my humidor and digging down

under a box, I saw one which I knew contained some cubans I had put away about 1 and a half year ago from my last trip to Cuba.

This cigars were made me by a cigar roller in Trinidad called

Jorge. You'll find him at the Bar&Resturant "Plaza Mayor", on the pic.

It's the big yellow house up in front in the middle with the blue windows and balcony. This cigar was a corona gorda size and when

I asked Jorge if he could make me a richer liga, he said yes.

Shortly after he made the cigar ?I smoked it on the spot and asked ,

"How is this going to smok in 6 months", he said "just fine".

So, after over a year, here we go.

The smell is still very earthy and leather, the wrapper is oily.

After lighting, the cigar gives medium spicy and earthy tones with

hints of licorice.

Half way the cigar picks up stroger tastes of coffee, leather with a grilled amond background.

The last third really exploded in a dominate and rich animal

taste of saddle leather and musk with rich nuttiness background

followed by hints of citrus, floral.

The cigar has aged perfectly from the ones I smoked at first,

where it was more of a wet earthy moss and harch tastes of freshly

rolled tobacco. What is interesting to know is that these rollres, who are in all parts of Cuba, can pick there tobacco from bales and choose

from the ones they want, to make the cigars. They are all grade 9

rollers who used to roll in big name factories and that was the case for Jorge, who now lives in Trinidad.

I think El Prez could tell you or any aficionado who has been to Cuba, These cigar rollers, who make for visitors, are really great and can make you cigars that you want and that you'll never forget

Cheers:-D
