Nukem1983 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hello all. Looking forward to sharing knowledge of Cuban cigars with you fine folks. Used to be in the Navy. Got across both big ponds a couple of times and enjoyed Montecristos in Norway, my first real cigar, Cohibas in Japan and R&J Churchills in Singapore. I had a very nice Punch corona in Gibraltar were I bought a box and thus learned of the counterfeiting trade some months after ( I was young and stupid). Anyway, ran out of my CC stash so now I smoke Padron annivesarios and manage to get my hands on some 1926s from time to time. Now that I am older, and still stupid, would like to know what is good and share some thoughts on my cuban cigar experiences. Thanks Trevor for turning me on to this site.

Tampa1257 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Welcome to FOH mate! We are all still learning something new daily (hopefully), and as I typically mention to all new comers, please take time to read the Forum "Sticky" threads, and get a feel of how things go here at FOH, read, learn, contribute where you can, get to know the members and allow them the opportunity to get to know you. Most of all, have fun! Tampa

Nukem1983 Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 » I had the first cohiba in Japan too. I just have never been abroad » though:-D I had a wonderful time in Japan. I stopped in Okinawa in March. Man was that place hot. I can only imagine what it would be like in summer. Then in Sasebo where I got some time to spend with the people and culture. Finally Yokosuka where I sampled many fine restaurants. You live in beautiful country my friend. Chris
