laficion Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hello everyone, I joined the forum back in 2006 but I only posted once now I have more time so I' back. I live in the south of France and I am the Prez of a cigar club called "L'AFICION du HAVANE". We are about 35 members. We enjoy great food, great wines and above all fantastic Habanos. the club started in 1994 so as you can see, It's been a while. I've been smoking habanos for about 38 years now and I am always discovering new things, which is the best part. I hope to participate on this forum, If you'll have me, I hope my typing will hold out, I hpoe that I will never ask you guys where you get your habanos from other then from , you know who. I hope that when the Prez comes to France( hopefully when there is no strike) that he will think of me. Until next time, to everyone, take care.

I've seen a lot of other forums and blogs and I must say that FOH is one of the best for Habanos and always in good tone (no fighting) THAT is very enjoyable. For the moment, one of our last topics of our last meeting was the new Mag. 50 compared to the Mag. 50 of 2005 and also on our next trip to Cuba in JAN. 09. Cheers:cool:

Welcome back. I agree on the above and would like to think it's not only the quality people here, but the warning El Prez has posted elsewhere on the site that help to keep this a quality place :-) : "We do not tolerate Tossers and Wankers. If you are a whinging pain in the arse know it all who enjoys the sound of your own voice…..go join Cigar Aficionado"
laficion Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 Hi asc, I agree with you 100% and the Prez is right, If the only reason you are on a forum is to complement youself, well then you have nothing to offer, so, stay away. In our cigar club, all we are looking for is to have a great time and away from the worries of the day. We are serious about what we smoke or drink, but we do not take ourselves seriously. We do ,and I think everyone sould, take some time out to thank nature for giving us such great cigars and we respect the men and women who work so hard to make such wonderfull cigars and all we have to reward them with is our great pleasure in return, ? I think I may have over done it on this thread so I'll just say thank you and talk to you all soon, cheers:lookaround:
