I'm a new smoker trying to find my way in this confusing world of ours. Stumbled upon FOH thanks to the kindness of Tampa, and Grasso. I've never smoked a real CC but am anxious to do so. Of the NC's I have tried I enjoy Tatuaje, and San Cristobal, as well as Joya de Nicaraua Double Ligero.

I'm hoping to make my first purchase soon and hopefully be able to contribute constructively to this forum.

Ah, don't give me too much credit. I just affirmed that this place is the shizznit.

Welcome (again)!

Jay,

Welcome to a very slippery slope of Cuban Cigars.

Do yourself a big favor and spend some time reading the cigar review threads and determine what might be of interest to you. I suggest that you order a sampler so you can try several marcas before you make a box purchase. I would order 3 of each cigar in your sampler, the first one to smoke and sample (NOTE: I suggest that you rest all new arrivals for 30-60 days before smoking to allow the cigars to stabalize from their journey to you) You may not be able to hold off, so the first of the three is for those urges. The second is to determine if you enjoy the flavors (After the 30 day resting period), and the 3rd cigar is for you to smoke while your next order is in route or to share with a cigar buddy.

Light up a cigar, read, learn and most of all, have fun!

I think the 60 days sounds about right. Funny because sometimes cigars smoke great ROTT but my recent experiences suggest otherwise.

Had a box of Dip5's that were absolutely foul for the first 40+ then started smoothing out, and now finally have come round to being little flavour bombs.

BTW - Welcome to FOH
