Arrow111 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 cool review & pics! i grew up in vancouver, love the weather there (when it's not raining) =)
El Presidente Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Great pics These got better in 07 largely because the underfilling progressively improved. The HDM PR was plagued with underfilling and it put me off the cigars for 18 months. I have been pleasantly surprised by recent examples. Lack of complexity is an issue.
Claudius Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 » Lack of complexity is an issue. LOL, that's an understatement! I've smoked 2 from the local dealer (06) and they tasted like... nothing. Seriously.

hoyopr Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 » Great review...and cool lighter ! Funny story with the lighter. If you've ever had a cutter, lighter, scissors etc confiscated at YVR this is where they end up. My father inlaw and I were out Garage saleing one Saturday and I couldn't figure out how this one sale had tables & boxes of these, some quite interesting. Turns out the guy running the sale was a chaplan with the airport chaplans office they recieve the confiscated items and this is how they fund their work. With this lighter the mouth glows red, blue and yellow when opened.

hoyopr Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 This cigar was slightly underfilled and the draw was a little loose. First 1/3 was of cream and slighty sweet wood, medium bodied but full flavor. 2/3 Wood with spice, a bit herbal (Marjoram?) and developing some pepper. 3/3 Wood is all but gone a couple of hints of eucalyptus but more pepper then anything. The ash was flakey, burn was good and like most from this box it is a very tasty cigar, I've smoked about 20 from this code and have found issues with construction, loose filled or uneven burn on probably a half dozen sticks.
