Thieves Steal $4 Million in Cigars

Thieves stole $4 million worth of cigars from a Sydney, Australia, tobacconist sometime between last Friday and Monday.

Warehouse owner Charles Vella, 77, believes the heist was organized since the building's alarm system was bypassed somewhere along the electrical track that powers it and not on the premises.

"It was a set-up, of course it was organized," Vella told The Sydney Morning Herald. "They had a shopping list."

The theft included 83,000 sticks of Toscani as well as Flor De Filipinas and Il Barone, two brands currently not sold in Australia. Reports were unclear on the maker of the Toscani cigars.

Police continue to investigate the crime.
