Hunters and Frankau are to hold another Summer Cigar Party in June after the success of their Maduro 5 launch last year.

The two new cigars will be the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial (5 ½” /141mm x 50) and the H.Upmann Magnum 50 (6 ¼” /160mm x 50).

Entry fee is £75 for which I guess you will get one of each and they have promised a third to take home.

Still thinking if I'll go for it. There'll be Cuban Music and Mojitos so may be worth it but I have to watch pennies now and it will depend on if I'm working or not.

Just a heads up for the interest of FOH members really.

Thanks Mel.

I have tried both cigars and they were good if not great. I will be interested how the regular production taste.

If you take a few photo's for me (...the women Mel....not the cigars) and do a review of the cigars I will cover half the cost.

You can be the official FOH event reporter

El Prez, that's a great idea...almost live coverage on every Cigar Launch...sort of ESCN :-D

Do i qualify as 'FOH event reporter' since i took photos (2/3 women, 1/3 cigars) of Launching of new Bolivar Armonia ER there in Beijing, China (under post of 'Request: Beijing') ???

Mel,

El Prez's coverage is a winner, just remember that the photos are for the women and the grand surroundings of the event while you are reporting! Wish you much fun!!!

:lol2: You set the standard. The only critique I would make is the need for "post event' photo's ;-)

Mel, it will be interesting to see how these two cigars compare to their "EL" predecessors. I wasn't particularly fond of either one. Maybe in this case, the regular production will be better, given overall improvements in the quality of leaf and construction of late.

I feel honoured Prez but....

I really do not have a discerning enough palate for a decent review.

I have booked a ticket and will be pleased to take and post photos.

I will see if I can get some extra sticks and send them to you for an expert review.

What I said to Rob, Shrink.

(To be gifted in appreciation of your incredible SOH which always cheers)

That's all folks, sadly no further requests can be accommodated.
