winelover Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Sorry to hear that. » Currently I am under the care of an oncologist and neurosurgeon, so other » than having brain cancer.........I'm healthy as a horse
Trevor2118 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 » Also try eating an orange or grapefruit right before bed - the citrus oils really help. This is an interesting comment........citrus again........someone once suggested a "bitter lemon drink" as a good mouth cleanser after smoking. Sorry, I was Lemon not lime.
crasmith Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 » OK, » » Since im smoking about 4-5 sticks a day for the last year or so, my mouth » feels quite trashy when i wake up in the morning. » » I brush about 5 times a day and scrape my tongue as well. I have the same problem but just chew gum and try to go on. It sure hasn't slowed my smoking down. :-)
crazypoet Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 » If it really works and they are looking for an Aussie distributor....give » them my details ;-) Well, it does work - to a point. I gave a CloseCall sample a good workout last night. I smoked four rather outstanding cigars yesterday to prepare for the test - a sacrifice, I know, but I'll go to almost any length to help out my friends. ;-) The good news? This stuff actually works - it knocked out a good 80-90% + of the odor on its own. After brushing and a regular dose of mouthwash, there wasn't any remaining tobacco breath. Even better, when I woke up this morning, there wasn't that normal muddy-boots-marched-through-my-mouth taste. Nice. :-) The bad news? Well, it's two-fold. First, it took two doses (one full bottle) to work. That's twice the advertised amount. Secondly, this stuff isn't cheap - about $3.00 US per bottle at retail. So the final result? When I have to be absolutely sure, I'll reach for a bottle of the stuff. I'm adding CloseCall to my regular arsenal, alongside grapefruit, schweppe's bitter lemon drink (when I can find it!) and BreathRx products.
havanaclub7 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 What does it taste like? I would bet not great, but I could be wrong...
Fatshotbud Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 » What does it taste like? I would bet not great, but I could be wrong... Not recommended for everyone but I use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide as a mouth wash at night - keep in swishing around for about 30-45 seconds and follow with a rinse or two of clean water. Second rinse keeps you from looking like a rabid dog.... BUD
crazypoet Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 » What does it taste like? I would bet not great, but I could be wrong... Kind of like a citrus-flavored white vinegar.
BradNC Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I've found BreathRx to be some great stuff (as is their gum) for post-cigar prep for potential fun with a lady friend (hired or not).

Sometimes cryptic tonsils can cause halitosis and just a general junk feeling in your mouth. Here's a link: http://www.ehow.com/about_4601095_chronic-...ic-tonsils.html
Trex Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 ^^^ Very interesting. crazypoet said: BreathRx - [link]www.breathrx.com/home.php[/link] - has a line of products that work wonders.I'm not sure if they ship overseas, but it's worth a shot. I use their mouthwash and mints both, and they can knock out the worst morning cigar breath. Also try eating an orange or grapefruit right before bed - the citrus oils really help. sweet. Thanks for the info. Some good info in here

TMS36 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I've read that citric acid or drinks with a high concentrate of it are the best. Schweppes bitter lemon is the one that always comes up
