Hypothetical Havana Club 5 YO rum question

so, let's just say, hypothetically speaking, I have access to a bottle of Havana club 5 year aged rum that has been sitting in a wine cellar for the past 15 years. A little bit has evaporated but other than that it's fine. Should I drink this? If so, would it be better enjoyed straight or mixed.

Side question, if you found out your one day father in law had about 10 varying bottles of havana club that he's collected over the years as gifts just sitting in his basement because he doesn't drink them, what kind of dance would you be doing?

I'd definitely give it a try. I'd hit some w/o any mixer at first so you can get a general taste for it.

If I were you, I'd send one my way;-) All kidding aside, that sounds like a great find man. Let us know how they are.

Hypothetical good find...;-)

If it's me, I shall taste it straight first. IMO shouldn't be anything wrong with it. The age will still be 5 yrs old. Ageing stopped once bottled.

Enjoy :hungry:
