strayvector Posted October 11, 2005 Author Posted October 11, 2005 » So it's probably Cardinals Vs Yanks in the WS? » » That 18 Inning game was amazing never seen anything like it. I don't think so. I think its pretty hard for anyone to beat Houston's linup in a 7 game series when they send a well rested Pettite, followed by Oswalt, and finally by the Rocket. 3 aces that will start 5 maybe 6 games. The bats of the Cards and Sox might be good, but no way they can consistently hit against those aces. Too bad for Angels and their loss of Colon. With the loss, I think they've just conceded to the White Sox. My prediction? Astros over ChiSox in 6.
dragon Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Nope, pitching always wins, and the Sox have the best starting rotation and deepest bullpen in MLB.
FuzzyJoe Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 :crying: was hoping the RedSox could do it again. Oh well, I guess I can't complain since we won last year.
harwellplant Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 white sox. book it. as much as i would love to see the cards take it home, guillen is doing a bang up job.
Arkay Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 » white sox. book it. as much as i would love to see the cards take it » home, guillen is doing a bang up job. Guillen --Its so funny when they interview him no one understands what the hell he is saying>
GoatLocker Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 » white sox. book it. as much as i would love to see the cards take it » home, guillen is doing a bang up job. They gotta make it there first! Angels really pulled an upset tonite.

Angels really pulled an upset tonite. Not sure that if the Angels win, it would be much of an upset. Seems as if most commentators are picking the Angels to win the whole thing. I'm still rooting for the Astros with their great starting rotation.

harwellplant Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 before last night's game, all the espn radio talk was "man, i don't think the angels can do it with no rest from the yankees series. the sox will be well rested." this morning as i was traveling, the talk was "man, the sox were having a tough time dealing with all the down time they had. the angels had the advantage because they have played more recently." oh, to be a day after forecaster.

Like they say, hindsight is 20 / 20 and the coach is always wrong when the team loses.
GoatLocker Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 » oh, to be a day after forecaster. My best position, Monday Morning Quarterback!
thschrminm Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 What a horrendous call last night in the 9th inning of game 2 in the White Sox vs. Angels series... Be prepared for the new rule change which will state... "the catcher must tag the batter after three strikes or throw to first base for the player to be considered out..." Call it the DOUBLE JEOPARDY rule... 2 outs to get one...
harwellplant Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 i hate the rule where the batter can attempt to advance to first on a swing and a dropped third strike.
strayvector Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 I hate the fact that the Astros lost last night. Wish they could have been the benefactor of a blown call like the ChiSox was.
Ben Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I was glad the Sox won. But not with how they won it.
GoatLocker Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 » What a horrendous call last night in the 9th inning of game 2 in the White Yea, what bothers me is, how could the ump have possible seen the ball hit the ground? He was blocked by the catcher! I hope this stupid rule is done away with. Three strikes, your OUT, period.
strayvector Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 Woohoo...behind their 3rd Ace, the Astros have just evened the series and taken home field advantage.
tmos Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Yeah, the kid was untouchable. I really wish the Braves would have won their series. You just know the wild card's gonna win this thing again.
Chicago Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 » GO BRAVES. » » well, at least don't choke.:-| I think the White Sox will bury whatever National league team they play but must get beyond Anaheim, who is not out of it by far even down 2games to 1. Go Sox!

strayvector Posted October 16, 2005 Author Posted October 16, 2005 Well, it looks like it is getting closer and closer to a Houston - Chicago fall classic match up. Pitching vs. hitting. Can't wait.
