Only had one, when they were first issued. It was OK, it reminded me a lot of an Ashton VSG at the time - cedary, strong and flavorful, but I have never been a fan of VSG's. So that was it for me.:-|

Tried 2...and I call them Monty Crap.... but some people say they are great...guess the ones I tried were sick....

The consensus is that they are crap. I and a few other brave soles love them for their cocoa charachteristics. Ken still has not forgiven me for selling him 2 boxes....he detests them.

Actually, time for him to do another review on these :-)

I had one about two months ago and thought it was really good. I think its one of those ELs that takes time to come around and balance out. It was still a bit edgy, but was on its way to becomming a great smoke.

I've only tried one when it first came out and I enjoyed it at the time. But I've since enjoyed far superior and more moorish cigars. It's different to a Monte 2. Not as much coffee cream and complexity. More like espresso and licorice all the way through. I'm not sure whether I'd still enjoy it having sampled what I have since. But I really loved it at the time.

that is the gamble with EL's....when they are on, you can't get em.......and when you can get them, you can't smoke em.....

Not worth the money, IMO. There are better Monte's out there!

I've found this to be a tastey cigar. I also really like the size of it. I think they are finally starting to come around. When I first got them it was nice but needed some time.

Way to pricey for a smaller cigar, especially with all the ho hum reviews...don't think I will be trying them any time soon.

They were flat and disapointing at first but the last one was much better. I am not much of an authority on aging cigars but have seen more improvement out of this one than any other in my collection. If you lie a wide assortment of smokes why can't this one be hiding in the bottom of the humi. You'd be sick if 3-5 years down the road collectors were raving about the aged Monte "C".

Personally, I really like these smokes, but are too expensive for an everyday stogie.» Never had one, but have seen many poor reviews on them....what say ye?
