It was OK, it reminded me a lot of an Ashton VSG at the time - cedary, strong and flavorful, but I have never been a fan of VSG's. Bill Hayes Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I've only tried one when it first came out and I enjoyed it at the time. But I've since enjoyed far superior and more moorish cigars. It's different to a Monte 2. Not as much coffee cream and complexity. More like espresso and licorice all the way through. I'm not sure whether I'd still enjoy it having sampled what I have since. I am not much of an authority on aging cigars but have seen more improvement out of this one than any other in my collection. If you lie a wide assortment of smokes why can't this one be hiding in the bottom of the humi. You'd be sick if 3-5 years down the road collectors were raving about the aged Monte "C".
