JMH Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 For me: *Music - more specifically, playing guitar. *Fountain Pens Luckily for me, my dad picked up guitar a few years after I did, and has always loved fountain pens. When he gets interested in something, he goes like a bull at a gate.
CIGARHead Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Rum and Vino. Simple pleasures that go great with a cigar. Those 3 things are the only things I spend dough on. I still drive a '98 Montero Sport w/ no A/C. I could give a **** about those type things. Give me a few hours, relaxing with the wife or the fellas, smoking a good Cuban cigar witha rum drink or wine in hand and Im all smiles.:-D

Colt45 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Wine for me as well, though part of the fun is finding the more obscure wines that are a good value - until they're found out. As for guitars, my favorite is my 1981 Les Paul Standard, which I bought brand new. The cliche - "they don't make 'em like they used to" - definately holds true.

Loki Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 hobbies? My wife and I are DINKS (double income no kids) and we both have good jobs and live beneath our means so hobbies (distractions) as long as they are reasonable are not a problem. We are both spendthrifts when it comes to certain things. Basically it's Christmas everyday. We canoe trip, backpack, show bull terriers, and travel. This spring we're thinking about purchasing some motorcycles. I want a Triumph Speedmaster, not quite sure what bike the wife wants yet.
