Partagas 898V from 2001...

Hi all,

I'm looking for info on Partagas 898V from 2001. Any feedback is appreciated. Pictures of card board box (front and/or box code) and inside of varnished box would be great too. Thanks.

Jaylax, I haven't had any from '01. The '98s are quite good, the '03s are excellent, the '04s and '05s aren't worth a damn, and the '06s are outstanding. I've had some other 2001 Partagas, including the Churchills DeLuxe, and they are very good.

If I were you, I'd prefer a box between May and December, 2001. Earlier 2001 boxes may be susceptible to overfilling and tight draws, if not downright plugs.

Shrink...thank you kindly for the info.

I was also wondering if the date/code stamp on the card board has a distinct font. One that is a little smaller in size.
