following on from the other thread re the monte iv reservas, i wondered if any member of the forum has had the opportunity to compare these recently, or ever.

i note the comments of these being expensive. i got two boxes of the partagas, but one from cuba (and stupidly forgot to take note of the price but i recall it was well better than outside cuba but still not cheap) and the second i swapped for wine (a lot of wine, a really big lot of wine, but no mention of the sod who swindled me - actually i cannot complain).

both boxes still in deep storage and no immediate plans to smoke any but curious. i stayed away from the monte's as the reports at the time were that they were vastly overpriced and didn't match the partagas, but wondering, now that some time has passed, if anyone has compared?

50 bottles of Pinot of varying quality. I didn't complain as there were no casks involved and the bottles were full.
