Winter Creek 2003 Shiraz

Picked up a bottle on recommendation as I was looking for something a little more full and rounded than my usual double sawbuck purchase. This one weighed in at around thirty USD.

Anyway, while I dont find it that full bodied I really like this one. Nice acid to berries ratio. I think I would call it more medium than full.

When I saw the french oak ageing I was put off as I do not like oak as a rule.

But this one is very nice and exhibits no spice. Something else I abhor!

Just started the bottle along with an '04 Monte #2. I am more of an Upmann #2 man myself but I just could not make up my mind what I wanted to start the night off. Watching the LSU/TN game.
