habanohal Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Tried another one of them today I still cant taste what this cigar is about. I have had 7 of them so far and all from differant sources. None of them have been close to me calling them a good cigar. Could taste a bit of the usual Monty flavor but everything else was muted.

That's a cigar!;-)

Sorry to hear, I just ordered a few for a first try :-( I had some monte 2's that went sick on me, maybe a similar deal The P2's I've had were excellant!
idesign Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I've had one Monte Edmundo that was gifted to me and it was excellent. Don't know the date code, but I believe it was recent production (late 04). I almost ordered some Edmundo's today, but went with RASCC's instead. Never had them, but I'm looking forward to giving them a shot...
Ken Gargett Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 i remain a huge fan of these. they have been consistently good for me. there are quite a lot more posts on these under 'montecristo edmundo'. perhaps rob could have this all consolidated, if he has nothing better to do (nagging me is not 'something better').
Spud2 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Compared to how they were when they arrived, they seem to be getting better with a little time in the humi!
cf2112 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 » Compared to how they were when they arrived, they seem to be getting better » with a little time in the humi! I liked them fresh but they are getting better, I should have saved more but I say that alot;-)
GoatLocker Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I only tried a 5er, but I did not care for these. Pretty plain and one dimensional. I guess I'll give them another try before I give up on them...
dysfunctional Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 »dont think much of these but the ones I have smoked were all quite young...maybe with age ???
TR Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 » i remain a huge fan (nagging me is not 'something better'). lmao
Elric Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 The few that I've had have been very disappointing.
harwellplant Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 this may be the third edmundo thread in which i have now written "i like these. they are one of my favorites of the newer releases."
ironman Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 » The few that I've had have been very disappointing. Same here, pretty one dimensional, nice.... but I like a complex cigar... Ironman
strayvector Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Still can't make up mind about these. I've had two and enjoyed the flavors of both, but both had draws that was just too easy. I like the size, the burn was good, initial flavor is excellent, reminded me of a stronger JL s.2, but it just was not one of those wow experiences. Solid smoke, but nothing overwhelming that you want to tell everyone about.
novasurf Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Spell check!!!! If it was spelled Montycristo Edmundo on the box, it was a dog rocket. They are fairly straight forward but the last two I've had were kind on the flat side. I have none in my humi.
