anacostiakat Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Yes! Great pictures and two of my regular beverage store buys. What a treat to have met Elmer T. Lee.
Wiley Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Awesome post, thank you! I like Buffalo Trace a lot.
effinwill Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 That is cool. They make great stuff and don't get too pretentious about it. The little still looks like something that would be cool to have in the garage. :-D
Loki Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Looks like you had a great time. I just picked up a bottle of George T. Stagg. I will try a few fingers tonight, at 144.8 proof I think some ice is in order. One day I would like to jump on my HD and do a Kentucky Distillery tour.
atomross13 Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Man you have ot love the Buffalo Trace. I get smell its wonderful aroma every monday to friday. I love living in Bourbon country. :-)
novasurf Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Me in Warehouse C Experimental barrels Kernels Ground corn Mash Fermenter Mash Separator New coffee roaster...LOL (nah....it's their new distiller for super premium small batches) White dog (Earmarked to become Eagle Rare for 2017) Buffalo Trace is a great place to visit. Small batch distillery, attention to detail. I hit places in the plant that the general public does not have access to, so if you decide to visit, let me know. Lastly, I got to spend some time with Elmer T. Lee, Master Distiller Emeritus, 21 years retired. We talked of bourbon, coffee cigars and....women. A great man. A lot of laughs. Hope you enjoyed.
