Colt45 Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Construction: weight felt right, foot looked good, but it did have more give than I like or would expect. Just a little softer overall than I feel it should be, but it did not result in any burn or draw problems. Wrapper: light milk chocolate in color, quite a few lumpy veins. Leathery to the touch with no oil. Draw: near perfect draw with plenty of smoke. Evenly flowery - relatively straight - burn. Taste: Quite fruity - citrus - on the front and mid palate, with a dry cedary back and finish. Roughly two inches in, this reversed somewhat - a dry cedar start, with a nice fruit mid, back, and finish. This fruit and cedar profile prevailed for the first half or so. Just past midpoint, the fruitiness subsided, giving way to a very nice amaretto / almond nutiness. It became ever so slightly earthy as well, with a lengthening finish. Overall just medium in body, and quite smooth. A very nice albeit subtle cigar. 89
bikeguy1 Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 I've found these quite subtle myself....took me awhile to appreciate them, and like most Habanos, need some time...thanks for the nice review!
