anacostiakat Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Friday night here in our nation's capital and I am listening to some blues accompanied to a nip of bourbon. Started off with a Don Alejandro. What a beautiful cigar. Construction, flawless wrapper and cap. Punched it and lovely predraw tabac flavors. Ash held for an inch and a half throughout. Started off with beautiful tabac and a veggieness. Some hints of camphor. Proceeded to gain a woody and somewhat chocolately flavor. Gained in flavor and mouth feel between medium and full. Damn these will be outrageous in another couple of years. Followed it with a RyJ Hermoso #2 EL. Working well with the bourbon. Earthy and fruity wrapped in a mild smokey spice flavor. Holding ash at an inch easily. This is my second box of these and I intend on making these last. They have skyrocketed in cost. :-(
bassman Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 You got lucky on your 04 VRDAs. Mine are so under filled they take < one hour to smoke. The 02s, however, are heavenly.
