Mike33
Almost same price..........if it were you, what would you choose? And no, I can not shell out the dough for both :-P
Colt45
I can't speak on the Monarchs, but I do have a box of '00 Sir Winstons. They are fantastic - when they draw. And honestly, so far, it's been a 50/50 proposition.
shrink
Hmmm... that's a tough call. Do you like the Upmann profile? I haven't had the 00 SW's, so I don't know them. There is no absolute answer; it depends not only on the Monarch vs. SW argument, but on how well they have been stored, and even on the individual boxcodes. What does your vendor recommend? Here's what I know from my experience: I have had '03 SWs and '01 Monarchs AT. I definitely preferred the SWs, although they were a little "tight". I have also had the '98 Monarchs, and I thought they were excellent; toasty, nutty, with that classic "musty" taste. If the provenance has been good, you won't be disappointed with these. El Presidente
» Almost same price..........if it were you, what would you choose? To be honest, go with the box which the vendor has inspected and has given a thumbs up in terms of draw.

I will be ordering the Monarchs as the I know the vendor's aged stock is exceptional. Can't wait for them to arrive
