Professor Twain Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 I bought a Blazer CG-001 torch lighter after hearing people rave about them. I have been really pleased with it--huge capacity, reliable, lightweight, and with an impressive flame. Today I unintentionally put the Blazer to a severe test. I was enjoying an SLR Petit Corona out by the pool, and throwing a ball so that my labrador retriever could jump in and bring it back to me (dozens of times). At one point she bumped the chair that I had my ash tray and lighter on, and damn, my Blazer slid in the pool and sunk to the bottom. I dove in and rescued my lighter--when I opened it up, very little water had gotten inside. But it wouldn't light up (that was too much to ask). I dried it off and set it down on its side with the top open--and after a couple of hours, it was working great again. They are on sale at the place I bought mine. And no, I don't have stock in the company. [link]http://www.magic25filter.com/blazer-laser-torch-cigar-lighter.html[/link] And the SLR Petit Corona was a pleasant surprise, strong and full flavored.
BigSlick Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 I own a CG-001 as well. I use it as an everyday lighter, it has been fantastic. It actually went through my washer and dryer and works with no problems whatsoever. DOH!
Tampa1257 Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 I recently received my Blazer CG-001 and thus far it has been great! Huge fuel tank, light weight, perfet torch flame, quickly becomming my everyday lighter! I aslo got it at the site above and the shipping was fast, they shipped on a friday and it arrived the first of the next week. Just remind me to stay away from Professor Twain's pool, don't want my lighter or anything else drowning at the bottom of the pool.............;-)
Colt45 Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 I think I have the only dud PB 207 on the planet :-( I'm looking forward to the release of the Zippo BLU - I just hope they keep the price within reason.
