Off to Havana in a few weeks

Yes, it's not legal and all that, but Havana holds a spell over me that I can't ever explain. Sure it's about tobacco and going out to visit my good friend Don Alejandro in San Juan y Martinez in Pinar, meeting up again with Hamlet and La China. Talking about tobacco and smoking cigars, listening to the music and enjoying mojitos on the terrace at the Nacional. But so much more it is just being in Cuba, hard to explain, but I'll be there. Looks like again in Feb 08, too. Maybe have the bad fortune to run into Ken at that time, though. Just kidding Ken!

Cuba is 1 place I want to go that is on my list. Each time the wife and I go to the carribean , I always ask if she want to take a trip to Cuba.

Like always the answer is no. She thinks we will get caught and be in jail when we get back to the states.

Is it true that they do not stamp your passports??

Thats all I think about while planning a vacation. Actually, its all I think about all the time :-) I would love to visit Cuba one day. Please post pics when you return.

True. They do not stamp passports, only tourist cards.

That's what I've heard. The only thing holding me back from going is that I'm not sure how I'd be able to explain two different entry stamps into Canada (or Mexico etc) to US Customs.

stan, you won't see me this trip, sadly, but every chance feb 08 - will that be for the festival? with any luck, am working on a mid year serious fishing trip for mid next year.

Not sure if it will be during festival, haven't selected the dates,yet, Ken. I'll definitely check out the don rodolfos from Hamlet!
