Van55 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Enjoyed the review. It made me glad I have a box of these (ABR 06) buried somewhere in a humidor or wine cooler -- can't remember where.
shrink Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 More like an experienced hooker with her best days behind her. Did you actually put this in a cigar review? Will wonders never cease? This is actually quite a persuasive review. Have to try these. Thanks!

Shooter Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Got some '06's myself and they are superb. Thanks for the review Rob--I always enjoy 'em!

More like an experienced hooker with her best days behind her. Dry to the touch, a little sandpapery. Significant box press. Still felt good in the hand. Right weight. Overall construction good but the wrapper a touch fragile and rough. Pure barnyard smell at cold. I was reviewing the hooker ;-)
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 This is at the request of Jimmy2 :-) Love this Marque. Love this vitola. Not the prettiest cigar rolled on Virgin thighs. More like an experienced hooker with her best days behind her. Dry to the touch, a little sandpapery. Significant box press. Still felt good in the hand. Right weight. Overall construction good but the wrapper a touch fragile and rough. Pure barnyard smell at cold. Cerrated the cap and praise the lord for another great draw. Dirt and caremelised sugar on the lips. Enchanting. Torched the foot, bountiful white smoke and a nice little punch to the senses....medium /full...mix of white pepper and eggnog. Rare to get sweetness so early in on such a young cigar. Settling down with the pepper, more vanilla custard notes but with an underlying power and presense which I have not seen before in this cigar. I had quite an insipid 03 JL PC a week ago...this is a galaxy away from that cigar. Towards the midpoint a small tear on the wrapper appeared above the band. No big deal. Delightful custard/earth/cedar flavour. Nice burn, great ash. You would swear this cigar had 5 years of age. White pepper still through the nose. Smoking it slowly as you know that if I were to force the issue there was plenty of horsepower here to showcase. Looking for its delicate nuances as a sign of what it might evolve into. Sweetness waving goodby. Revealing more of its wild side. Earthy, black pepper notes but dresh baked bread at its core. Not a convincing wild child display, it will evolve along the opening sweet lines. Nubbed this one as the tear finally made a nuisance of itself. It was that good that I persisted. Great to the finish. Complex, balanced, cerebral. 90/100 5/6 smokerings.
