Pick the Turkey?

Recommended Posts

My buddy Fred D and I guided this friend from So. Cal. for three days here at the end of the season and finally got him a nice bird. It tooke three hours of calling work and patience for the bird to die. He preferred the gobble call ove the hen calls. The bird was killed on my property in Snake Hollow TN.

Oh, I can just see it - out in the woods:

Mel: here, put this on.

Friend: no thanks, I don't wear makeup.

Mel: it's not makeup, it's camo face paint.

Friend: I don't know, I'm just not comfortable putting that on.

Mel: it puts the face paint on it's skin.

Friend: I think maybe I should just go.

Mel: Just put on the f@*!#$g makeup!

LOL "Stuffing the Turkey"??

He asked for the face paint after seeing how good I looked. He had on another face mask the day before and hated it so I gave him one with less coverage and compensated with paint.

No fish on the 100 acre farm it is nothing but a mountain and a small drainage creek.
