i suspect i also speak for rob when i say that just at the moment, we are fair game from any fan of any sprting team. our once glorious reds have hit the all-time low. wooden spoon in the super 14 with a performance so spineless that it is nigh on impossible to imagine even those floral peahearts south of the border capitulating so disgracefully. our massively overpaid no-talent hacks caved in (not even in the game during the national anthem) in a manner that would have even shamed nathan sharpe. 92-3 (writing this is, i hope, to be a cathartic experience that will allow me to move on because bugger all is happening at the moment).

even back in the amateur days when we lost players to league and to the south and nsw arrogantly, and much to their cost soon after, suggested we were too weak to play, even then did we never fold quite like a hopeless pack of cards in the manner of this most recent disgrace.

but there is hope. the out-of-state (not a problem in itself but it means that he can never ever understand what it is to be a qlder) toxic hobbit who has the utter gall to sign a contract and then tell us he'll decide if he'll honour it, despite leading us to absolute shame and complete humiliation, will join the faceless, brainless penpushers who allowed so much of out talent (i count something like 15 of the 50 picked for the wallaby squad, not counting the 9 qlders, as previous reds or from here - yes, an entire team) to flee and who appointed the toxic hobbit, will hold a review to decide which players should go. try yourselves and the hobbit! and don't think of replacing them from the open market - as has been proved time and again, no one wants to play with the world's most insane admin and coaching staff.

this is like having adolf review the germans' efforts in WWII.

if someone has so little integrity to tell us that he'll decide to whether he'll honour his contract (i believe that it was an original three years) then those that allow him to dictate in this manner have even less integrity.

sack yourselves.

i am mortified to think what so many of the greatest players to ever grace the game and who made the qld reds the most feared provincial rugby team on the planet for so many years, the loanes, shaws, horans, eales, mcleans, moons, goulds and so many more, must think.

shame on our admin and coaches for the embarassment you have caused all qlders.

go now. it would be the only thing that could possibly allow any of you to save the tatters of your dignity.

re the 'tahs (the flroal peahearts referred to above), i am never one to revel in the misfortune of others, unless we've caused it. we couldn't even manage that this year.

Bloody hell of a big wooden spoon that's gonna be! Unthinkable at the beginning of the season, when I thought our western forcers were wobbly...

It's Ok ken... I'm a Chicago Cubs fan. We haven't won a championship in 99 years. I think you're in OK shape compared to me.

The reds got absolutely flogged by the Bulls. Just gave up.

Something is very rotten in Aust rugby at the moment.

I say slash and burn the lot of them - has anyone realistically contemplated going to the Wales games? Who are the incompetents, the idiot savant's who run this game now.

And to think what the springboks will do to us in the tri-nations as we never play well over there.

Hopeless. The only positive is the hope we've hit rock bottom and this will simply have to result in change.

Not holding my breath.

don't take this the wrong way but this is the glorious reds of which i speak. at various times throughout my relatively short span on this mortal coil, they have been the greatest provincial side on the planet. i saw them beat a full strength all blacks side a decade or two ago. literally kept them tryless. it was inconceivable that would would lose to almost any touring national side and we expected to compete with sides like the all blacks and springboks. as for target practice like the floral peahearts, just a bit of fun. winning in nz or south africa, a breeze.

now, we are a hopeless joke stuck in the mud, as roy and hg might opine. spineless. never before have we just thrown in the towel. look at the league state of origin and how qld have snatched so many late victories - that is the spirit that we had in spades. now, give us a 40 point start against the local netball thirds and we'd blow it.

shame!!

i'm taking it very badly.

the toxic hobbit must go!

I think you means 'tards' :-|

The poor Cubbies have simply had the misfortune of being in the same division as the Red Birds.
