Great having you and the boys here Rob :ok:

We all enjoyed it as much as you did and to all other FOH members.....our door is always open.

you were doing so well until the george quip, tho i must confess that there are times when i look at my mates and think, yes, i must be 'lord of the idiots' to have ended up with this lot.

also my humblest apologies. you'll note how the quality of the cigars that rob was dishing out plummeted as soon as i arrived.

to the rest of the world, i can say we have discovered this man's secret. he really is a closet skins fan. we know for a fact that he travelled all the way from the states to downunder with a giant skins insignia in his luggage. who but a true fan (or perhaps a real friend) could do that?

So that's all the thanks I get :-|

Let all forum members know that Ken as at the end of this week is officially Homeless.

On Saturday, we gave him the last of our cardboard boxes so that he could build his residence of choice. I fed him Saturday night and prior to the Rugby game we attended.....Ken excused himself to inspect a certain bridge that we assumed he was assessing the underneath as a potential home.

And Finally......Freefallguy can attest to the truth of this statement....Ken brought with him on Saturday afternoon a gift of three bottles of wine. On closer inspection the conversation went something like this:

Rob "Ken....thanks for the wine mate but ahhhh.......they have all been opened and there is some missing from each bottle?"

Ken "So that's the thanks I get! I was taste testing this morning and instead of pouring the remainder of the bottles down the sink....I thought I would bring them to you....you ungratefull, shameless, bastard!"

All true :-)

you've already received my thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable evening sat (with the exception of the hapless reds who just happened to pick this decade to implode, and how nice to see our out-of-state coach ripping into his players again. eddie, an alternative woudl be to coach them or recognise that you are a toxic hobbit who should disappear up whatever waratah arsehole you slid out of).

'all true'. you know you have a problem when you hear those words from the third brother grimm.

i parked near a bridge to go to the game and hans christian ayala turned that into some fairy story. granted i am currently 48 hours away from a park bench but i draw the line at bridges.

and now that you have edited your own post, may i address that. i brought three bottles of wine that i had just finished sampling for an article and so there was an inch missing. big whoop. at least that meant that we had enough and didn't have to thimble out the dregs of your one bottle amongst 8. i selected those three as wines that had done particularly well in the tasting (okay, i kept the really good ones for further assessment - well, there was you and all i knew about freefallguy at that stage was he was a cowboy fan and...). i thought you might have enjoyed them. actually, what happened was you immediately whisked them off to your fridge to enjoy after we had all left!

Awesome pics, looks like a nice day to be out on the deck.

Also, I almost always start laughing when Rob and Ken get to bickering on the board. Keep it up. lol :ok:

I found it at the bottom of a rubbish bin Ken, wanted to dispose of it as far from home as possible and thought it would look great on the car you drive, despite the fact that your mum has commandeered it.::ok:

Ken- Rob's comment just as you pulled up was classic... "We didn't finish the good stuff before Ken got here."

True indeed!

The inside scoop here is that Ken is to settle on a house soon and seeing as how he's a former conveyance lawyer he just might save enough to buy a few of the better smokes one day. :ok:

» This is some funny stuff.

Jimmy, all that you read here is the way these two carry on in person... in the midst of the above tirade I interjected how quickly Rob parried Ken's slander... and Ken came back just as quickly saying "He wouldn't know how to reply if he'd not been dumped on himself."

Not to piss in his pocket, but I think Rob had the upper hand.:ok:

The boys and I were in stitches laughing!:rotfl:

What an incredible holiday in Brisbane!

My sons (Michael and Daniel) and I had steak dinners Thursday night at the Brekky Creek with Rob and Lise and then it was off to the Czardom for cigars (COHIBA PIRIMIDE EDICION LIMITADA 2006) and a nice red wine. We were in tears laughing over Rob’s “Shagga stories”. Oh, and Lise’s hugs are the best!

Friday afternoon we were at Rob’s house where he and I started with champagne and a Don Alejandro Robaina cigar. No, not a Vegas, I mean one that had been hand rolled and presented to Rob by none other than the Godfather of the Vuelta Abajo himself. What an unbelievably sensual experience! On to steak sandwiches, mussels, prawn and chips prepped on the barbie and then a Sig II with red wine.

Saturday afternoon Rob, Lise, Ken and I shared laughs, wine and cigars (Monte 2 for me) on the Czar deck, joined Smithy for a fantastic seafood dinner at Gambaro's and then headed off to the Reds rugby match. The Reds lost big time and Ken texted Rob with a remark likening them to the Cowboys, but even that could in no way dampen the night.image2613.jpgimage2614.jpg

My sons said, and I agreed, that hangin’ with the Czar gang was like being in a Seinfeld episode… Rob and Lise were Jerry and Elaine of course, Smithy was so tall and funny that he had to be Kramer and that left Ken as George. Sorry Ken.

I told Rob that he was a most gracious host… but he politely countered that this was just his lifestyle and that I’d been set down in the middle of it for a few days. I now understand what he means, but he and the gang made my sons and me feel so welcome that we decided the time with our friends was the best part of our trip to Oz.

Thanks again Rob, Lise, Smithy and Ken!
