Well, i just found the box of these that i have had sitting in the bottom of my aristocrat, and i need to ask all of you.. While i dont buy cigars to sell, i have been holding onto these, as well as a few other special boxes (Festival Del Habanos 2000, Cohiba Reservas, and the Club Epicures) just to be able to say that i have full-unopened boxes of each of them..

When i bought the PSD4 reservas, as well as the Cohiba reservas, i was told that they werent worth the $$$.. Has anyone smoked any of them lately? Are they ready? Are they NOW worth the $$$? Or are they worth more money sitting as an unopened box?

All feedback is appreciated!

I smoked a PSD4 reserva about a month ago. It was from an FOH special, thanks El Prez. It was quite good, full bodied and IMHO better than the regular PSD4. Are they ready? If you send me a few more to smoke I would be able to form a better opinion on this stick.lol

I'd wait a little longer.

If you dont buy cigars to sell, who cares if they are worth more money sitting in an upopened box?

I think that they smoke great now and will be better still (by a formidable amount) at the end of the decade.

As for investment.....I will take a punt for you. Hold them until 2010 (unopened/sealed) and you will see a 25% appreciation. Until 2015, 50%, 2020 100% + .

i am sure you have boxes sitting in your cabinet that are unopened that you deem as just "special."

i dont just hold onto boxes to increase their value, for some reason i hold onto some smokes under the pretense that i will only smoke them on special occassions..

i guess its just that unopened box feeling that i appreciate...but after hearing prez's ratio of increase, maybe ill sell them in 2015.....

SYKE!

Better to enjoy them of course, unless you have stocked up on them en mass.

I still have an unopned box also but I smoked the next to last one of the other box this morning on a turkey hunt. They are dynamite now and that's all I need to know. If inflation sets in you might lose money:-D

I'm sure he was talking inflation adjusted; but, you might die tonight as the old Cat Stevens song used to say. I vote smoke 'em - with me! :-P

justin, just bring that unopened box to the next Philly sitdown & we'll help you crack it open.
