GTS21 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 They've all been the subject of vicious debate at another board?
strayvector Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 LOL...CA's top 25 cigars...or better yet, top 25 cigars that they are soliciting advertising dollars from.

connoiseur29 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 some sort of shared rating in Cigar Aficianado?
mef Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 They are top 25 cigars for 2006 as tasted and judged by team at CA mag. The only thing that is common is leaves grown from the earth's soil. mef
idesign Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 They are the cause of an argument which resulted in one smug editor calling someone a cabron? ;-)
SeanGAR Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 » What do these cigars have in common? » They are all cigars. What did I win?
ccsmoker Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 This is C A idea of a top 25...What? Don Tomas presidente should not even smell the top 105. Just my opion:-(
habanohal Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I only count 5 that are worth giveing the time of day to smoke them. But thats me. For the past 3 years I haver smoked exclusively Cuban cigars. My brother is the oppisite of me. He has a vast collection of Non Cuban cigars. To me, they all taste like dirt. From the Opus X Chile Pepper to Ashton VSG and Diamond crowns etc. Its all about advertiseing money. How do you think that onyx got a 94 rateing? and when it did get that rateing, did you notice the 2 full pages color ad??
smokum Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I just received a NC cigar supplier "magazine" today in the mail. Is it my imagination or are there 40 million different brands of NC cigars ??? Stuff I have never even heard of....

I'm sure at least 90% are not very good, too. I'm glad I got my feet wet when things were a little simpler. When I saw that Top 25 I thought, "What the F@$K!"! They have lost what little credibility they had, IMO. Steve
Zaphod42 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Nothing wrong with numbers 1, 3, 8, 13, 15, 21, and 25. There are quite a few good NC's out there. Most notably PAM's.
